ACTIVITIES

The Town's Veterans Memorial was the culmination of the fundraising efforts of VFW Post 7507 and American Legion Post 58 along with contributions from the Town of Fountain Hills and business community. The Post is well represented at Town ceremonies, holidays and Arizona's only Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Local Schools

Along with our Voice of Democracy, Patriots Pen and Vets in the Classroom, recognition and support of local students is an ongoing tradition for us.

Busy Post Members

Knowing that our funds are used to help other veterans and our community, it makes volunteering at our various events worthwhile. Our members have continued to do this for more than 25 years. Another fundraiser that is very successful is our Annual Golf Tournament held in November.

Support for Police and Fire

Each year we recognize outstanding local Law

Enforcement Officers and Firefighters. These are the people who help keep our local community safe on a daily basis.

Golf Tournament

Each year the Post hosts a golf tournament. This tournament has had 144 golfers for the past years at the private Rio Verde Country Club. With a banquet, raffles and an auction, the event is always an enjoyable time for all. The volunteers that offer their time and efforts, along with the many sponsors, make this a remarkable event.

Beer Gardens

These yearly events at the Fountain Hills Great Fair in February and the Art Festival in November are huge events for us. Much planning and many Post volunteers are needed to make this a yearly success.

Post 7507 Color Guard

Our impressive Post Color Guard represents us well at important holidays such as Memorial Day, Pearl Harbor Day, Veteran's Day as well as at Civic events, and they Post the Colors at comrades' funerals. They also march in the annual Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Day parade, at the School's Homecoming Day Parade and, most recently they have Posted the Colors at the Phoenix Coyotes' games and the AZ Diamondbacks games.

Community Projects

The Veterans Memorial Parkway designation in our earlier years started the Post on being involved with our community. We continue these efforts today.
